Delo Publishing House (in English delo means "labour") is a public limited liability company that publishes online and printed media. It engages also in media distribution, marketing and printing.




Main products

Delo publishes the daily newspaper Delo, with 4 magazine supplements Deloindom, Ona, Polet, Vikend). Other publications include the daily tabloid Slovenske novice; the Sunday newspaper Nedelo, and the specialised magazine Grafičar (graphic industry).

Delo Publishing House is also running three Internet portals Delo.si, Slovenskenovice.si and Pogledi.si as well as recognized annual events.

Journalistic and photographic archive

The Journalistic Documentation Department maintains one of the richest photographic and newspaper archives in Slovenia. The content of the recent years can be browsed on the Internet archive of the Delo online version but the archive on Dunajska street is also open for visits by appointment.

The major part of the newspaper's photographic legacy (1955–1987), however, has been kept as a special collection at the National Museum of Contemporary History, including the comprehensive archive of the photo-reporter Edi Šelhaus (1919–2011) with 2,026 original b/w negatives from World War II and over 137,000 original b/w and colour photographs as well as slides and negatives, donated by the author (in 2000) and his main employee, the Delo Publishing House (in 2009).
