DSAF Residency is a residency for animation authors established in 2024. It has been run by the Slovene Animated Film Association (DSAF). It is intended for animation filmmakers at different stages of their careers. The programme offers two- to four-week research and preproduction residencies for DSAF members in Angoulême, France, while in Slovenia, residencies for international creators are available in Nova Gorica, Ljubljana and Maribor. The programme covers accommodation and travel costs, an artist fee and mentoring by Slovenian and international professionals from various fields of animation production.




PAST RESIDENCIES

Past residents in Slovenia include Mélody Boulissière (France), Chintis Lundgren (Estonia/France) and Naomi van Niekerk (South Africa/France), while Sofiya Kruglikova (Slovenia) was a resident in Angoulême.

PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

Partners in Angoulême include Frigo Films and La Maison des auteurs, while partners in Slovenia include the School of Arts in Nova Gorica, Animateka, StopTrik International Film Festival and GuestRoomMaribor.
