The exhibition "Material Bar" showcases a wide range of works by Slovenian product designers, highlighting the diversity and creativity within the local design scene. The curatorial team—Katarina Dekleva, Rok Oblak, and Bor Pungerčič—who are themselves active in the fields of design and architecture, present ten designers and collectives: Anselma, Toasted Furniture, Salto Dionys, Pjorkkala, Nika Ravnik, From Gaja, Gin Brin, Hiša Mandrova, Prostorož, and Miha Šajina.

A production space, an atelier and a shop
Anselma is a co-working production space with sewing machines, open to all. Likewise, it is an atelier for fashion designers, filled with creations, where imagination meets the retro lines, variations of patterns play with colours, and a vintage selection of fabrics reaches out to extraordinary heights. Finally, it’s a shop. It also stocks salvaged high-quality vintage fabrics – these dead-stock materials are the foundation of Anselma's own Made in Anselma sustainable fair-trade line of clothes.
Hot-desking at Anselma provides invaluable resources and advice for amateur sewists and professionals alike – quite a few young fashion or product designers started their individual path with Anselma's support.
People and brands
The owner and person behind Anselma is Ana Malalan Čeligoj, an architect by profession, fashion designer and author of the handbook Supertailoring/Superkrojenje, published by Mladinska knjiga Publishing House. Her work at Made in Anselma includes presenting this cosy, timeless, ethical, sustainable and ecological brand.
Fashion designer Tanja Pađan is an art director. Alongside co-creating the Anselma programme and line, she operates under her unique brand of clothes, Kiss The Future, which has also been rewarded at the Ljubljana Fashion Week (LFW).
Tomaž Šantl is an audio-visual director, photographer and video maker with strong references in both freelance and artistic, street and commercial projects and clients. He presents the products in a way that catches your eye.
Among previous residents are Jona Bedjanec (winner of the Digi Wow Award at the LFW), Martina Obid Mlakar with MOM Jewellery, Nataša Kovač with the bags and wallets brand Vandalimorale.
Courses and events
Anselma runs the popular Supercourse – a comprehensive two-month beginners’ sewing course, as well as shorter, more focused courses and workshops, and ŠŠŠ (Super sewing school), a year-round weekly sewing circle for those who want to work within a community and upgrade their skills.
